ProPilates® Teacher Training is based on the Classical Pilates Method of Body Conditioning as developed by Joseph Pilates with additional evaluation techniques to provide better and more efficient strengthening of the body using Pilates equipment and principals of Classical Pilates. The ProPilates® Training Program is taught by Tonka Cascais who is a second-generation Pilates Teacher Trainer trained by Romana Kryzanowska. Tonka was a Level 3 Teacher Trainer and was responsible for training new instructors in South Florida for Romana’s Pilates from 2003-2009. The ProPilates® Teacher Training Focus

ProPilates® Teacher Training program is an interactive program designed for students to actively participate in and obtain hands-on knowledge of the exercise from application through modification and execution. We focus on the following:

  • Detail of movement with a deep understanding of anatomy, physiology and application of all Pilates principals and concepts while integrating the rules of the body. Structure dictates function!
  • Full understanding of all Pilates apparatuses and how they change resistance through the ROM and how that affects the joints.
  •
Exercise progression based on the structural and functional limitations of each individual while addressing the goals and expectations of the client.
  • Injury prevention as well as strengthening and conditioning for pre and post surgery rehabilitation
  • Creating a totally new Pilates experience designed to challenge the body while creating awareness of movement.

We are committed to providing to you with the highest level of Pilates education as well as teaching tools to change lives and help us change the perception that exercise should not be aggressive and detrimental to the body. We look forward to making you a part of our ProPilates® family.
